Physio-Led Pilates at Box End Physiotherapy
We run small Pilates classes in our dedicated exercise studio, designed to help you improve strength, flexibility and balance while supporting long-term musculoskeletal health. Our physio-led approach, often called Clinical Pilates, means exercises are guided by a physiotherapist and tailored to your needs, helping you feel confident, supported and safe as you move. Our team has completed specialist Pilates teacher training with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute, helping us deliver safe, effective and well-structured classes. These classes are particularly beneficial for people recovering from injury, managing persistent pain or dealing with a musculoskeletal condition.

What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on core strength, posture, controlled movement and overall body awareness. It’s designed to improve flexibility, balance and strength, helping you move more efficiently, reduce the risk of injury and support bone health. Pilates isn’t just about exercise; it’s about learning how your body moves and supporting long-term musculoskeletal health.
Personalised Recovery
How Physio-Led Pilates Supports Your Recovery
Because each session is led by a physiotherapist, exercises are carefully adapted to suit your individual needs and limitations, helping you build strength, mobility, and confidence. Our small classes allow the physiotherapist to closely monitor participants and adapt exercises as needed, creating a supportive environment that is ideal for people recovering from injury, managing ongoing pain or feeling unsure about joining larger group or gym-based classes.

Tailored To Your Needs
Personalised and Supportive
Classes are structured to match your ability, goals and any limitations. Whether you are completely new to Pilates or have previous experience, we offer options to suit you, including complete beginner classes. Before joining a class, you can attend a one-to-one assessment with a physiotherapist to:
Identify any restrictions
Discuss your personal goals
Assess your current ability
Learn the fundamental core Pilates principles
Classes last 50 minutes and are limited to a maximum of six participants, allowing for close supervision and individualised guidance throughout.
